ROSELAND, N.J. — Automatic Data Processing Inc., a provider of payroll and benefits administration services, said Tuesday its ADP Employer Services division completed the acquisition of VirtualEdge Corp., a supplier of recruiting and management products for human resources organizations.
The company said the acquisition expands its professional recruiting offerings for mid-market, large and global organizations. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
VirtualEdge, founded in 1998, is based in Newtown, Pa., and serves more than 100 customers in 80 countries and 20 languages.

This mirrors the enterprise app bust-turned-consolidation (2001 to present). I'm thinking Siebel+ PeopleSoft=Oracle as one example. So the cycle will continue: no innovative break throughs (as yet) until someone brings to market what the rest of the recruiting world have been building on their own or cobbling together.
